Claimed vs real-world range
Makers measure range under ideal conditions: a light rider, flat roads, mild weather and the slowest mode. Owners ride in the real world. This study puts the two side by side.
Not enough data yet: the overall figures need at least 3 vehicles with owner range reports.
By riding mode and rider weight
Median share of the claimed range in single reports. A group needs 3 reports to get a figure.

How reports are checked
- Each report is compared with the claimed range and the battery size. Figures that are physically unlikely, or so far off the claim that they look like a typo or the wrong unit, are rejected and never counted.
- Plausible but unusual figures, well below or somewhat above the claim, are flagged and count for half until other owners report similar numbers.
- Once a riding mode has a handful of reports, values far from the middle are given less weight, so one extreme ride can't move the result much.
- A vehicle's real range is the average of its per-mode figures, so a model mostly reported in eco mode doesn't look better than one mostly ridden in sport. It replaces the claimed range in the score once 3 or more reports back it.
